Pepper Modern Marketing Strategies Bring Badass Business Visions to Life
Do you have big dreams and goals for your business but feel overwhelmed about which steps to take? Maybe you’re too busy to invest the time and energy you know your biz needs? Well, sounds like you need a handy dandy Pepper Content Marketing Strategy for photographers and creative entrepreneurs! We’re here to help bring all of your visions to life.
When it comes to making a consistent and effective marketing strategy for photographers (or any business, for that matter), planning, creativity, and consistency are key. All of the elements of your marketing plan should work together— your brand positioning, your SEO marketing, your social media marketing, your blogging strategy, your newsletters, your PR strategy—and the only way to do this is to have a strong grasp on everything from the big picture down to the nitty gritty details.
That starts with understanding what’s currently happening in your business, including what’s working and what’s not. Then, we can dive in and make suggestions about various elements of your photography marketing plan and break it down into actionable items for you! We cover all of it—branding, social media, blogging, SEO and website optimization, email marketing, public relations goals, and more—so that you can kick ass consistently.

Step 1: Pepper Marketing Plans + Content Creation Goals Start With a Discovery Call
These are customized marketing strategies, so we start by getting to know you, your business, your goals, and your vision.
We start by booking a discovery call with your Pepper Creative Manager and our Lead Strategist, Paris. This call helps us gain a better understanding of your business, target audience and ideal client, pain points, competitive advantage, and goals.

Step 2: Audits to Help Create a Plan for Your Content + Marketing
Foundational SEO Audit
Pepper’s Foundational SEO Audit helps us see how we can make it easier for you to be found online by analyzing the following:
- That only one version of your website is being indexed by search engines
- Your website speed on both mobile and desktop
- “Zombie Pages” that are uncessary or any other pages that need to be hidden/removed
- Indexing issues and site link mapping
- Organic traffic to see where your visits are coming from
- Weak areas in your SEO, both on-page and off-page, that can be improved
- Backlinks that drive traffic to your website
- Broken links
- Content that needs strengthening
- Website architecture
- And so much more
Once the audit is finished, you’ll receive a Pepper SEO Fixes Map so you can easily see and understand what needs to be done to optimize your website, and how to do it. There’s also the option to get Pepper to do the SEO fixes for you! [More about that below.]
Social Media Audit
Pepper’s Social Media Audit helps us strengthen your presence on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest by analyzing the following:
- Bio setup, descriptions, and info about your biz
- Feed aesthetic
- Brand consistency
- Images being used
- Captions
- Hashtag strategies
- Feature usage
- Insights
When the social media audit is complete, you’ll receive an overview of our findings, a snapshot of how your social media accounts are currently presented to your followers, and recommendations for growth.
Google Analytics Audit
Pepper’s Google Analytics Audit helps us better understand your web traffic and what we can do to improve it by analyzing the following:
- Where your web traffic is coming from
- How people are finding your website
- What visitors do once they land on your website
- Changes in traffic from the quarter/year prior
- Your top performing web pages
- Website audience location
- Website audience demographics and interests (if available)
- Goal completions/conversions (if available)
When the GA audit is done, you’ll receive a report outlining the information above along with anything that raises a red flag and suggestions for improvement.

Step 3: Creating Your Three-month Strategy for Content Marketing
Once we’re equipped with plenty of helpful info about your business and current marketing efforts, it’s time to put our heads together to create a kickass Pepper Content Marketing Strategy specifically designed for you and your business.
Your content strategy will involve several important elements of modern marketing, depending on your goals and business needs:
- Branding for photographers, creative entrepreneurs, or whoever you are!
- Social media marketing, including management and engagement
- Blogging, including SEO strategy and blog topic ideas
- SEO website fixes and adjustments to help people find you on Google and other search engines
- Email marketing setup, as well as newsletter templates and content ideas
- Public relations, including reach-out lists and templates
- Whatever the heck else we think you need to be successful af!

Step 4: Strategy Call with Meet Pepper Team
The next step is to have a call with your Meet Pepper team to go over the findings from your Audits and your brand spankin’ new modern marketing content strategy.
We understand that this business is your baby, and it’s important to us that we keep you informed, that your voice is heard, that you’re jazzed the eff up about your new marketing plan, and that you have a say in what happens next.
Step 5: Implementing Your Pepper Content Marketing Strategy
We help you implement this strategy to get the ball rolling (and the leads rolling in!). For these three months, you’ll also receive weekly calls with your Creative Manager, as well as weekly updates so that you always have a pulse on what’s going on with your BS (business stuff).
How long we work together after the three-month strategy rollout is up to you, but when/if we do part ways, we’ll leave you with plenty of tools, templates, training, and other resources so that you can keep up your marketing efforts consistently, efficiently, and effectively. #fuckyeah!
Okay, wait a second—we have more to say
Communication
Throughout our time together, communication is key! Not only do we want to keep you in the know about what’s happening on our end, but receiving info and feedback from you throughout the process is critical to its success.
We love using Slack to communicate with our creatives. We strongly suggest it as it’s an easy and casual (because that’s how we roll) way to keep the lines of communication open. Don’t worry, we won’t bug you outside of work hours because we’re rocking that work-life balance, too! What we can’t promise is that we won’t send you funny gifs on the reg.

There are add-ons available if you want to boost some aspects of your Pepper Content Marketing Strategy creation or implementation. These are available a-la-carte for an additional fee:

Don’t just take our word for it!
“We could gush about Meet Pepper all day! Every soul who contributes to this beautiful family is incredibly talented, hardworking, organized and knowledgeable!
Together, their skills and knowledge create a badass team of diverse experts that would be an asset to anyone’s business! Everyone we worked with was so kind and helpful.
My husband and I own a photography business and were at the point of needing help as we grew and transitioned. Pepper helped us with so many aspects of our business from social media management, streamlining workflow, marketing, SEO/website, etc.
With their help, we improved our business and kept up with daily tasks. Not only did they help us manage our day to day, but they brainstormed ideas and worked so hard to create ways for us to grow and expand. They taught us so much throughout the process.
Our time with Pepper allowed us to have more time in our personal lives, focus on other aspects of our business and allowed us to focus on a big life change. We will be working with them again! We cannot thank everyone at Meet Pepper enough for their kindness, support and efforts!”
