We featured a blog a couple of weeks ago about Hugh Jackman’s doppelganger (aka Nathan Holritz over at Photographer’s Edit and Bokeh – The Photography Podcast), but we are back to talk about him and his kickass Podcast one more time! Our favorite female CEO got to be on it and they had a lot of fun!
Nathan calls Bokeh a podcast “exploring the ever-blurring lines between the personal and business lives of professional photographers.” And after our experience, he does an amazing job capturing both elements!
We actually found out that Stacey was his first ever video call interview for Bokeh – The Photography Podcast! This should come as no surprise because Stace is always marching to the beat of her own drum and changing the game while she’s at it! Nathan usually does his interviews with just audio, but how fun is it to see each other’s reactions?! And it definitely took the distance between the two (Nathan being in Tennessee and Stacey here in Kamloops, British Columbia) and made it entirely irrelevant.
Stace and Nathan chatted about Pepper’s philosophy of work/life balance, the pros of hiring a virtual assistant and outsourcing the BS, Jen Sincero’s inspiring book Be A Badass, and so much more! Stacey also opened up about her past and how despite years of pain, she rediscovered her self-worth, her inner strength, and chased every damn dream she ever had. Including Pepper!
One of the biggest tips Stacey wanted to share with Nathan and his listeners was simple and can easily be translated into everybody’s lives. She said “stop comparing yourself to other photographers” and she couldn’t be more right. There is nothing more inspiring, fulfilling, and downright badass than being entirely unique!
I know our days are filled with so many things, but I encourage you to find some time to take a listen to this episode on the podcast. Nathan and Stacey both speak with such honesty and ease. It will make you feel like you’ve just sat down at the table in a cozy cafe right next to them!
